The Old Post Office Holiday Cottage Bull Bay

Bull Bay is a village and bay on the northern coast of Anglesey, Wales, close to Amlwch. Its Welsh name, Porth Llechog, means "sheltered bay". The English name is derived from Pwll y Tarw, (the bulls pool) which is located near the shore close to the bay.

The Old Post Office is a desirable holiday cottage situated on the edge of the coastal way path overlooking the idyllic Bull Bay. Taking advantage of fantastic views across the bay and within easy access to the beautiful landscape, stunning scenery ant the rich heritage that Anglesey has to offer.

 

So, whether you are looking to escape to the country side or relax by the sea this cottage provides the ideal base giving visitors the choice to stop, relax and recharge or to take advantage of the many activities available within a short distance.The Old Post Office will more than satisfy your desires.

 

This traditional holiday cottage privately owned and very much loved by the family since 2019 has been made available to rent. Being a dog loving family means the cottage is available to rent by dog owners and offers a dog friendly cottage which sleeps up to six in its three bedrooms.

 

Accommodation

 

The old Post Office sleeps six and has three bedrooms –

  • master bedroom with sea views and a television

  • a twin bunk bed room

  • a twin room with two single beds with TV and DVD player.

(Please note the twin room only has access via the bunk room.)

We are strictly a non smoking establishment.

To the front of the property there is a small gated courtyard garden with seating and planted troughs giving views across the bay.

To the rear there is a private drive for one vehicle and an outside eating area with views over the roof the sea and countryside beyond.

Boasting breath taking coastal and sea views from inside and out, this is the perfect place to bring your family or friends to experience life on the island.


From the master bedroom you have panoramic views of the sea and to the front there is a pretty seating area so you can watch the boats come in and out of the bay.

With the much renowned Bull Bay Golf Course only a short walk away, fabulous water sports and amazing flora and fauna, what more could you ask for in a holiday?

Availability

Our changeover day is a Friday during the main school holidays. At other times, a Monday and possibly other days may also be available we may even be able to accommodate weekend breaks, please call for availability.

Love fishing? We have the sea literally on our doorstep and with a free boat launch just outside the front door, the Old Post Office has everything for the angler or the yachtsman. Just one look out of the window will show you all that is one offer.

Location

The Old Post Office is a superb end-terrace cottage with sea views in the small Anglesey village of Bull Bay.

Just a few yards from a small cove with a rocky beach to the front and the Anglesey Coastal Path at the rear, The Old Post Office is a wonderful cottage for a family holiday at any time of the year, which is also dog friendly.

 

BULL BAY

Situated on the Northern coast of the Isle of Anglesey is the pretty seaside village of Bull Bay. The scenery around Bull Bay is stunning unlike many beaches on the island, Bull Bay Beach is very rocky – but don’t let that put you off! The beach has an abundance of rock pools, each packed with creatures of all shapes and sizes.

 Bull Bay also offers 1 hotel with a restaurant and bar and a superb golf course – Bull Bay Golf Course, all within walking distance of the Old Post Office.

Close to the village is the famous Anglesey Coastal Path, which you can see from the back door of the cottage and just 1.5 miles away is the small, harbour town of Amlwch , which boasts a beautiful cove, shops, bars and a market every Friday. Nearby is the Parys Mountain, where the Copper Mine Trail Walk is worth a visit. Also within driving distance is the historic town of Beaumaris, which has a stunning 13th century castle, museums, shops, pubs and restaurants. Bull Bay is a perfect base to explore the many attractions, towns and villages Anglesey has to offer.

 

Another hidden gem is CEMAES BAY with its pretty harbour, great beach, fabulous coastal walk and just 3.9 miles from Bull Bay. Both beaches are perfect for all manner of fun beach activities, Sailing, Windsurfing and Surfing.
